I designed this booth for the British Farming Awards with the intention of creating an immersive, celebratory experience that felt both premium and welcoming. My starting point was the Farmers Guardian brand itself – bold, confident and rooted in pride for British farming – and translating that into a physical space people genuinely wanted to step into and engage with.
By allowing guests to ‘become the cover’, the booth turned attendees into the heroes of the story, reinforcing the awards’ purpose of celebrating excellence across the farming community. This interactive element encouraged participation, social sharing and organic brand amplification throughout the event.
Visually, I balanced strong brand recognition with elegance. The red, white and black palette anchored the design in Farmers Guardian’s identity, while transparent materials, soft lighting and balloon detailing added depth, warmth and a sense of occasion. The framing was carefully considered to ensure flattering photography from all angles, with clear typography which remained legible in a busy event environment.
Ultimately, my aim was to create more than a backdrop – it was a moment. A space that honoured the industry, elevated the brand and left guests with a tangible, memorable experience they were excited to share.
